Tour de Bloom 2026

For the third consecutive year, PNW Racing travelled to Wenatchee, Washington, to compete in the Tour de Bloom, one of the premier stage races in the Pacific Northwest. Racing in the highly competitive Category 2/3 Men's field, our riders faced four challenging stages that tested every aspect of their abilities from a brutal mountain climb to long road races and a fast downtown criterium.

The team delivered one of its strongest performances of the season, highlighted by three stage victories, multiple podium finishes, and an incredible 1-2 finish in the Overall General Classification.

Stage 1: Mission Ridge Hill Climb

Tour de Bloom opened with one of the toughest climbs of the weekend, the iconic Mission Ridge Hill Climb.

  • Distance: 4.1 miles (6.6 km)
  • Elevation Gain: 1,702 feet (519 m)
  • Average Gradient: 12.8%

The climb immediately separated the field, rewarding riders with exceptional climbing ability. PNW Racing got off to a fantastic start with four riders finishing inside the Top 10.

🥉 Mitch Williams – 3rd

  • Cor – 4th
  • Aubrey – 6th
  • Luke – 10th
  • Sebastian – 25th
  • Marcus – 44th

It was the perfect start to a demanding stage race and positioned the team well heading into the road stages.

Stage 2: Waterville Road Race If Stage 1 tested climbing legs, Stage 2 tested resilience.

Cold temperatures, wind, and rain created difficult racing conditions across the 75.4-mile Waterville Road Race, but PNW Racing thrived despite the weather.

Aubrey powered to an outstanding stage victory, while Mitch finished second, giving PNW Racing an incredible one-two finish on the day.

Unfortunately, Marcus's race ended early following a mechanical issue.

🥇 Aubrey – Stage Winner

🥈 Mitch – 2nd

  • Luke – 36th
  • Cor – 42nd
  • Sebastian – 47th
  • Marcus – DNF (Mechanical)

Stage 3: Downtown Wenatchee Criterium

The Downtown Wenatchee Criterium delivered everything fans expect from criterium racing, high speeds, technical corners, multiple crashes, and nonstop action.

Mitch and Aubrey rode aggressively from the opening laps, controlling the race from the front and coming close to lapping the field before another crash forced officials to stop the race on the final lap.

Our thoughts were with everyone involved in the incidents, and we were thankful that the remainder of our team finished safely.

🥇 Mitch – Stage Winner

🥈 Aubrey – 2nd

The rest of the team completed the race safely, setting up an exciting final stage.

Stage 4: Plain Road Race

The final stage took riders through the scenic roads surrounding Plain, Washington, for another demanding 75.9-mile road race.

The team worked exceptionally well throughout the day.

After an early mechanical for Aubrey, the riders remained composed, avoided several crashes, chased down the decisive breakaway, and perfectly positioned Mitch for the finishing sprint.

He delivered in spectacular fashion.

🪓 Hatchet for the Win!

Mitch sprinted to another stage victory, securing the Overall General Classification title and capping off an unforgettable weekend for PNW Racing.

Overall Tour de Bloom Results

After four days of exceptional racing, PNW Racing finished with an incredible result in the Category 2/3 Men's Omnium.

🥇 Mitch Williams – Overall Champion

🥈 Aubrey – 2nd Overall

Winning three stages and claiming the top two positions on General Classification demonstrated the strength, teamwork, and consistency of the entire PNW Racing program.

A Team Effort

While the podium celebrations belonged to Mitch and Aubrey, the entire team contributed to the success throughout the weekend.

From strong climbing performances on Mission Ridge to chasing breakaways, protecting race leaders, and positioning teammates for the finish, every rider played an important role in the overall victory.

Tour de Bloom once again proved why stage racing is the ultimate team sport.
